COE’s Down for Car Buyers with December’s First Bidding Exercise, Commercial Category Sees the Largest Drop!

This month saw 4,398 successful bids received during the month’s second bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 1,680 @ $42,339, down from $46,791,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,373 @ $53,711, down from $57,390,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),

Quota of 285 @ $42,000, down from $57,701,

Commercial vehicle Category C,

Quota of 516 @ $6,552, up from $5,992,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 542 @ $53,334, up from $57,501,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
