Cupra Will Launch 3 ICE Models In Singapore This July

The Cupra branding has always been performance-leaning. Owned by SEAT and part of VW Group, it’s a left field choice but hugely appealing for those that desire VW Group familiarity sprinkled with a tinge of magic dust.

In Singapore, we’re privileged to have Asia’s first dedicated Cupra showroom. Surely this space deserves more than the Cupra Born and Tavascan EVs, and they’ve listened. In steps a triplet of ICE-powered Cupras - the Leon 1.5 eTSI hatchback, punchy 333PS Formentor crossover and 1.5-litre eTSI Terramar SUV. Pre-launch offers for them of up to 18 grand are available before their official introduction on 31 July.

Cupra Leon 1.5 eTSI - a sporty hatchback that pairs agile handling with a mild hybrid system for a balance of performance and efficiency. It features sharp styling, a driver-centric cabin and enhanced digital and sustainability elements. Granted, it’s not the 2.0-litre VW GTI sibling, but we’re rather sure the demand pendulum will shift towards the more affordable 1.5.

Cupra Formentor VZ - the brand’s flagship and bestseller. The VZ variant delivers 333PS and 420Nm from a 2.0-litre turbo, accelerating from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It offers all-wheel drive, adaptive chassis control and an immersive cockpit with Cupra’s signature copper detailing. If the wait is proving too long, its predecessor might be able to scratch that itch.

Cupra Terramar - a mild hybrid SUV with a 1.5-litre eTSI engine and 7-speed DSG. Named after the historic Terramar circuit, it combines bold exterior design with a spacious, tech-forward interior.
