Decrease Across Most COE Categories In First Bidding Exercise of May 2023

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums decreased in 4 out of 5 categories in the first bidding exercise of May 2023 (4 May).

The latest premium for Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp closed at S$101,001, a decrease of S$2,720 from the previous tender.

Premiums for large cars in Category B (above 1,600cc or 97kW) ended lower at S$119,399, a decrease of S$1,490 from the previous result.

COEs for commercial vehicles, including goods vehicles and buses, increased by S$255 to S$75,589.

In the motorcycle category, the premium experienced a sizable decrease of S$7,177, to S$5,002.

In the open category (Category E), which can be used for any type of vehicles but often end up being used for big cars, premiums decreased by S$499, to S$124,002.
