Epson devises new way to reach masses for Movie Mob
You have probably heard of the Flash Mob concept, but what about a Movie Mob?

A phenomenon that originated from the United States and the UK, Flash Mob is defined by Webster’s New Millenium Dictionary of English as "a group of people who organize on the Internet and then quickly assemble in a public place, do something bizarre, and disperse".
Recent examples include the Facebook Flash Mob that took place in a major London train station in February this year, where thousands of dancers gathered to dance as the clock struck 7:00PM.
Described by the British Transport Police as a "good humoured event", the flash mob was organized with the intent of mimicking an advertisement by T-Mobile.
And for the first time in Singapore, a series of Outdoor Movie Nights inspired by the flash mob concept has hit the shores of Singapore, courtesy of Epson Singapore.
Taking place every fortnightly on Saturdays, the Epson Movie Mob relieves nostalgia by collaborating with other sponsors to organize the first free drive-in movie experience in Singapore that has a flash mob concept twist.
It’s not just an outdoor movie viewing, but one that integrates the elements of flash mob with technology.
Here’s how it works: Upcoming movie titles will undergo public voting via the Epson Movie Mob website at www.moviemob.sg. The final movie title and screening venue will be kept as a secret and revealed only at the 11th hour (i.e. 3 days prior to the screening). The public is encouraged to visit the website for regular updates on the movie title and exact venue.
Movie-goers alike can then gather at the designated venue on the actual day of screening to embrace pleasant remembrances that the Epson Movie Mob brings.
