F1: German Grand Prix officially dropped

The FIA has removed the German Grand Prix from the 2015 F1 Calendar. This marks the first time in 55 years that a Grand Prix will not be held in Germany in an F1 season. Nurburgring was initially scheduled to host the event on the 19th of July, but the new owners seem to be disinterested in hosting the event after talks have collapsed. A deal was put in place with the other German GP venue, Hockenheim, but the representatives of the track have given up on hosting the event. The FIA made an officially announcement on Friday, and have cited the failure to come to a an agreement as the reason for the dropping of the event. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
