F1: Haas awaiting FIA decision

Gene Haas is no stranger to motorsport. He is a Nascar team owner, and one of the few wealthy Americans to have considered joining Formula One. His application however, is still uncertain as this stage while the chaps at FIA continue their research to ensure Haas has the manpower and the funds to sustain a competitive team. He entered what most people dubbed the ‘pinnacle of motorsport’ after the FIA expressed their interest in having a full 24 car grid next year, before opening up the field to potential applicants. So far, Haas is up against a Romanian-backed team, but there is a possibility of a 26 car grid should both teams to be found as financially viable. Haas expects the decision to be made within a week, and has told the press that talks with the FIA have progressed well.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
