F1: Lotus believes reliability is a concern

Out of all the teams on the 2014 grid, Lotus did the least number of laps during the pre-season tests, after missing out on Jerez and suffering from reliability issues in Bahrain. They said however, that they aren’t the only ones worrying about reliability. Although there are teams with a lot more mileage than Lotus (Mercedes and Ferrari spring to mind), he believes that even they are secretly concerned about reliability issues. These were the words of Lotus technical director Nick Chester, who also admitted that the E22 may not be competitive till April. He said that it all depended on how fast Renault Sport provided fixes for their powerunit. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
