F1: Marina Bay Street Circuit blessed ahead of race

9 religious leaders were at the Marina Bay Street circuit on the 10th of September to bless the track ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix next week. This tradition was first put in place in the inaugural night race in 2008. Religious representatives from Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Sikhism, Judaism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism and the Baha’i faith, and they prayed for the safety of the 22 drivers and all the staff,  race officials and spectators. They also begged for good weather. While the leaders blessed the circuit, workers rush to put the finishing touches on. The run-off areas have been repainted in the SIA colours, barriers and lights are being setup, and the pit lane is being rubbed down to improve traction.
