F1: Raikkonen to miss last 2 races for surgery

After Kimi threatened to miss the last few races of the season for the Lotus team, he has finally done it - although this time it isn’t due to money, but his back. The 2007 champion has suffered from back injuries from a crash early on in his career with Sauber, but could bear with the discomfort until this season’s Singapore Grand Prix, where it got so unbearable that he considered skipping the races. Sources claim that his surgery is scheduled for next week. Since his return after his sabbatical, Raikkonen has scored a total of 183 points for the Lotus F1 team, with 14 podium finishes that include two victories.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
