Ferrari's 60th Birthday Bash
Ferrari has gotten a year older, but unlike us, that doesn't mean they are going to get any slower and more wrinkled. In fact, they have just embarked on a marathon around the world which will involve some ten thousand Ferrari owners and their beloved machines.

The drive, which is also a symbolic event for the company, launched off from Abu Dhabi this morning, and is set to cover routes through China, Japan, Australia, South Africa, America and the whole of Europe.
The drivers will relay the Ferrari baton, which has been specially commissioned and adorned with 60 badges to commemorate the company's greatest moments in its history. The starting point was chosen because Ferrari has plans to establish a major Ferrari Theme Park, as well as a racing circuit, on the island of Yas.
Amidst all the rich and famous partying and fun, Ferrari have not forgotten the less fortunate people. Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a charity auction in Palazzo della Farnesina in Rome on June 16th , where the proceeds will be donated to needy children.
One of the biggest highlights of the celebrations is the production of 60 very unique 612 Scagliettis, as part of their 60th anniversary celebrations. They will be offered in two-tone livery, combined with classic Ferrari colours. Amongst its other interior features will be an electrochromic glass roof with adjustable opacity to suit its occupants' preferences. To top it off, the centre tunnel will boast an enamelled symbol set, representing one of the 60 great historic events to celebrate Ferrari's anniversary.
