The new Fiat 500 has been launched across the globe over the last nine months in a blaze of publicity and to highly favourable reviews. TTS Eurocars will now welcome the Car of the Year 2008 in style at the National Museum of Singapore on 18th April 2008.

The new Fiat 500, also referred to as the Cinquecento in Italy, is a remake of the original 1957 classic, bears close resemblance to the original version. However, the new Fiat 500 is equipped with the latest technology on-board the retro styled body.

The new Fiat 500 will be offered in the luxuriously equipped Lounge version with two Euro 5 emissions ready engines, the 1.2 8V 69 bhp and the 1.4 16V 100bhp. Both variants will be offered with 5 and 6 speed manual and automatic transmissions, respectively. Standard features include Microsoft Blue&Me Handsfree Media System, Vehicle Dynamic Control including ESP with Hill-Hold Assist, Seven Airbags including knee airbag and Digital Climate Control Aircon.

In addition to the prestigious Car of the Year 2008 award, the Fiat 500 has also picked up other important awards such as the Car Design 2008, Auto 1 Best Small Car 2008, Auto Europa 2008, Fifth Gear Best Small Car of the Year 2008, EuroCarBody 2007, BBC Top Gear 2007 and the L’Automobile più Bella del Mondo 2007. In terms of Safety, the new Fiat 500 has also achieved the impressive EURO NCAP five-star crash safety rating.
