Tata has pulled the wraps off its highly-anticipated 1-lakh (around S$3,600) car.

This little car bears resemblance to both the Mitsubishi i and the Colt, which is not a bad thing, really. But what do you get for S$3,600?

A 600cc 30hp engine; four-speed manual transmission; a disc/drum brake setup; room for five; fuel gauge; speedometer; oil light;and claimed fuel economy of 23km/l. No more, no less.

Tata claims that the car meets safety and environmental standards but that remains to be seen.
