Geneva 2008 : LP560-4 revealed!
The new baby bull is revealed at the 2008 Geneva Motorshow.
The revised Gallardo uses a 5.2-litre V10 90 degree engine with a compression ratio of 12.5:1. The engine produces 412kw of power at 8,000rpm with a maximum torque of 540Nm. 0-100 km/h timing is 3.7 seconds, 0-200km/h timing is 11.8 seconds and the LP560-4 will see to a terminal speed of 325 km/h.
Along with its optional 6-speed e-gear sequential gearbox the LP560-4 uses a 4WD Viscous Traction system to transfer power to the road via Pirelli Pzero 235/35 ZR 19 – 295/30 ZR 19 front and rear tyres, plus a rear differential with 45 percent limited slip.
Fuel is now directly injected into the combustion chamber which improves efficiency across the whole engine speed range. The LP560-4 will return an average of 14 litres per 100km.
