Giti Tire Launches New UHP GitiSport S2+
Giti Tire launches next generation GitiSport S2+ following ‘exemplary’ rating from AutoBild

Tyre manufacturer, Giti Tire, has introduced its latest ultra-high-performance tyre, the GitiSport S2+, following a strong showing in the 2026 summer tyre test conducted by leading German automotive publication Auto Bild.
The new tyre earned an “exemplary” rating and finished fourth overall in the highly regarded comparison, which evaluated 50 tyres. Above it are the Hankook Ventus Evo (first place), Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 (second place) and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (third place). Editors praised the model for its strong price-to-performance ratio, impressive driving dynamics and high safety reserves.
Initial testing involved wet braking from 80 km/h and dry braking from 100 km/h using a BMW 5 Series fitted with 245/45 R19 tyres. The GitiSport S2+ recorded a combined braking distance of 42.5 metres, placing it joint fourth (with the Pirelli Cinturato C3) and securing a spot in the final 20 tyres.
It maintained its performance across a further 12 dynamic tests to ultimately rank among the top five, alongside several premium manufacturers.
Developed at Giti Tire’s European R&D Centre in Hannover, the new tyre features a specially formulated compound that shortens wet braking distances by eight per cent and dry braking distances by two per cent compared with its predecessor, the GitiSport S2. It also carries the maximum EU Wet Grip label rating of A.
The GitiSport S2+ will be available from spring 2026 in 19 sizes, designed for sporty passenger cars and high-performance SUVs.
