Global Switch and Legion of Racers Support 'Drive For Good 2025'

Global Switch and Legion of Racers (LOR) hosted the third edition of “Drive For Good” early this week, bringing together about 50 young people for a day of learning and confidence-building through motorsport-themed activities.

The event was held at The Initial Sama, Singapore’s first wellness-themed serviced residence on Evans Road. Participants were nominated by the Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) and SHINE Children and Youth Services, targeting youths who would benefit most from mentorship and development opportunities.

A highlight of the programme was an immersive SIM racing experience, where participants used LOR’s professional rigs to compete in friendly races and a Time Trial challenge. Organisers said the activities were designed to nurture focus, discipline and teamwork - skills that support positive personal development.

“It was inspiring to see the children so engaged,” said Lim Keong Wee, Co-Founder of LOR. “Drive For Good is about more than racing; it’s about helping young people build confidence and form meaningful connections.”

Global Switch Singapore Managing Director Terence Teo said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates. “The energy we saw on the day shows the real impact programmes like this can have,” he said.

Social service partners echoed the sentiment, noting the programme’s positive effect on the participants. Muzdalifah Anuar, Home Manager at Darul Ihsan Girls’ Orphanage, said the youths “gained confidence, built teamwork skills and created lasting memories,” while SHINE social worker Sasha Ho added that the event “opened doors for future aspirations.”

Drive For Good 2025 marks another collaboration aimed at empowering youth through experiential learning and community support.
