Hyundai’s on-going support of football continues with the recent start of the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament.

Hyundai has been a partner of UEFA for more than 12 years and this is the fourth consecutive European Championship that it has supported. This year, Hyundai has supplied more than 350 vehicles to transport teams, VIPs and tournament officials throughout the Championship. Some of these vehicles were also used to transport the Championship Trophy on its recent tour of Poland and the Ukraine.

In the lead-up to the Euros, Hyundai also announced ‘Team Hyundai’ comprising five of the best-known players in Europe. Iker Casillas, Lukas Podolski, Giuseppe Rossi, Karim Benzema and Daniel Sturridge will act as ambassadors for the brand in and around the european championship and, amongst other things, are fronting Hyundai’s UEFA Euro 2012 charitable Facebook initiative, Make a Pledge.

Fans are invited to Make a Pledge on the Hyundai Facebook page and for every pledge made online, Hyundai will donate 1 Euro (up to 250,000 Euros) to streetfootballworld - a worldwide network of organisations that use football as a tool to empower disadvantaged young people by engaging private and public partners to create social change.
