Hyundai Wins Top Design Honours At Red Dot Awards 2026

Hyundai Motor Company has secured three major honours at the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2026, reinforcing its growing reputation for innovation in future mobility design.

Leading the achievements were the MobED Urban Hopper and MobED Golf concepts, which received the coveted Best of the Best award and were shortlisted for the competition's highest accolade, the Luminary Award.

Developed by Hyundai Motor Group's Robotics LAB, the modular robot platform is designed to adapt to a variety of applications through interchangeable hardware and software. The Urban Hopper serves as a personal mobility device, while the Golf functions as an autonomous caddie.

Hyundai also received Winner awards for two concept vehicles. The Concept THREE compact EV showcases the brand's vision for next-generation urban mobility, featuring a new "Aero Hatch" design that combines compact dimensions with enhanced aerodynamic efficiency and interior space.

Meanwhile, the CRATER Concept explores the future of off-road electric vehicles. Designed as a rugged exploration companion, it features a durable exterior, off-road-focused design elements and a highly functional cabin aimed at delivering confidence in challenging terrain.

According to Hyundai, the awards reflect its commitment to pushing design boundaries and developing innovative mobility solutions across multiple segments.

Organised by Germany's Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, the Red Dot Award is widely regarded as one of the world's most prestigious international design competitions. Only a select number of entries receive the Best of the Best distinction, with the Luminary Award winner to be announced later this year.
