Kia Optima K5 and Sportage are given New Facelifts

  The  luxurious sports sedan Kia Optima K5 and the 5-seater SUV Kia Sportage, have been refreshed with a new look.  The Kia Optima K5 comes with a fresh new look and a host of convenience and safety features such as Blind Spot Detection and the Kia Sportage features a new 2.0L Nu engine and several additional convenience features such as the flex steer system and full colour supervision cluster. The vehicle's front and rear fascias and the brand's signature tabbed grille have been improved, refining the Optima K5's sculpted, high-end look.  The car's bold stance and aerodynamic shape are further accentuated by updated rear diffusers and a sweeping trunk lid.  It also features striking front LED positioning HID headlamps and four-point LED fog lights, along with clear, newly designed LED rear lamps.

The Optima K5 comes with the Infinity sound system as standard, that features 8-speakers with fingertip-sensitive controls that bring out the true maestro in the driver. All-new seat designs ensure a comfortable drive in the powerful and spirited sedan, while a new Blind Spot Detection(BSD) system improve convenience and peace of mind. Parking is now easier with the 4.3 inch TFT LCD equipped audio head unit featuring a rear view camera monitor. Front and rear parking sensors also help alert the driver of any obstructions around the car.

The Optima K5 has a new Theta II 2.4L MPI engine that generates 180ps of power and 231Nm of torque with a carbon emission of 197g/100km. The state-of-the-art multiport petrol engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission for the perfect blend of on-road performance and savings at the fuel pump.

The Sportage SUV has refreshed its bold and dynamic design with a new grille pattern and front fog lamps design while maintaining its stature on the roads. The Flex Steer system, first found on the Forte K3, is now available on the Kia Sportage too. This allows the driver to adjust the level of steering assistance and feedback at the touch of a button for a more engaging drive (sport mode or for less steering effort when stuck in traffic (comfort mode).

The petrol engine has been fitted with a brand new Nu 2.0L engine that delivers 166ps of power and 197 Nm of torque. This new petrol engine would be sold alongside the current 2.0L CRDi diesel engine variant.
