Prevention is better than cure. This is the message that Bosch, the world’s leading automotive parts and services provider, hopes to drive through to the public with their inaugural Bosch Automotive CARnival. The event will be held at Dempsey Hill on 14 August 14 2010, 11am – 7pm between blocks 8 and 9.

Car owners and motoring enthusiasts can look forward to a wide range of activities to entertain the entire family, pick up useful tips on car maintenance, and find out about more than 10 categories of Bosch products and why they are every driver’s “must-haves”.

“Bosch aims to share good car maintenance habits with drivers who may lack knowledge of car care. This inaugural automotive CARnival will help us to reach out and educate consumers on the importance of timely servicing and maintenance to maximize the lifespan of their cars and achieve optimal performance,” says Mr. Michael Goh, Country Manager of Bosch Singapore and Cambodia, Automotive Aftermarket.

A slew of activities have been planned for the public. They can drive through designated berths to enjoy complimentary car diagnosis provided by Bosch Car Service Workshop partners. Each “check-up” takes 20 minutes using Bosch Scan Tools, an advanced technology system for thorough systems check. Mechanics will be able to flag out potential risks that the car may face, and owners can make appointments with Bosch Car Service workshop partners for a further inspection to rectify problems.

The installation of many of Bosch’s star products in most categories of cars today is a proven testimony of Bosch’s unparalleled leadership position in the automotive aftermarket. These range from batteries, spark plugs and oxygen sensors to carbon cabin filters, wiper blades and brake pads for better field efficiency and safety.

“It is important that drivers and car owners know what goes into their car. Buying cheaper, poor quality spare parts may save you a few dollars. Yet, in the long run, damages to your engine require expensive repairs or worse still, breakdowns or accidents,” Mr. Goh adds.

Bosch professionals will conduct talks throughout the day on how to be eco-friendly despite owning a car, increasing torque power, as well as maintaining fuel efficiently, cleaner combustion and exhaust systems.

The Bosch Automotive CARnival holds lots of other exciting activities for the public. These include a lucky draw with top prizes of a 5-star hotel stay in Vietnam, i-Pad and LCD TV. Visitors can also look forward to exciting race games, product catwalk featuring race queens and hourly product discounts.

As part of a slew of activities exclusive only to Oneshift.com, members of the Oneshift.com will get to enjoy the free diagnostic tests before the general public. If you are keen, please indicate your interest with Wilson Wong at the forum thread. Places are limited so put your name in quickly to avoid disappointment.
