In conjunction with the on-going AutoInc Singapore Karting Championship 2011 (SKC 2011), McElrea Racing have teamed up with sponsor Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (Popeyes) to organise “Blush LIVE at SKC 2011”, a thrilling family day out at the Kartright Speedway competition-length race track.

Blush, Asia’s hottest pan-Asian all-girl band, will be adding their design touch to five racing karts worth more than $150,000. Using UV paint and colourful decals, the girls will deck out the karts and have a go at racing on the track with SKC 2011’s Ambassador Yuey Tan, who is also an international GT Singaporean race driver.

From today, Popeyes will give away one family entry pass to “Blush LIVE at SKC 2011” for any meal purchase made at any of their eleven outlets in Singapore. The ticket stub can also be kept and exchanged for a free 1-piece chicken with the next combo meal purchase. At the event on Sunday, families can also stand a chance to win free kart rides by participating in simple fun challenges and game quizzes.

Currently based between Hong Kong and Los Angeles, Blush is visiting Singapore to promote their newly released debut single “Undivided” featuring Snoop Dogg.

"Combining the thrills of AutoInc Singapore Karting Championship 2011 with the energetic and talented Blush girls is a great way for us to reach out to families and motorsports enthusiasts alike! We hope to engage more people to take interest in this sport, and who knows, maybe this Sunday, we will be introducing motorsports racing to Singapore's future race car drivers!” said Mr Kenneth Yeo, General Manager, AutoInc Singapore Karting Championship 2011.

Sanctioned by the Singapore Motor Sports Association (SMSA) and officiated by Singapore GP, AutoInc SKC 2011 together with the support of Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Eurohaus Kartright Speedway, Xinya Media, and McElrea Racing seeks to promote competitive karting and develop a local motor sports community for all motoring enthusiasts. Drivers compete in 5 classes with young drivers starting as early as 8 years old.
