Minister for Environment and Water Resources, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Mr. Teo Ser Luck, today participated in the Singapore segment of the inaugural TTSH Charity Ride 2011.

The Charity Ride is part of the hospital's 167th anniversary, where both ministers were accompanied by 220 cyclists and two Subaru Forester 2.0X safety cars.

Flagged off in Malacca yesterday, with a contingent of 50 cyclists from Malaysia, the Charity Ride was relayed by the Singapore contingent this morning at the Tuas Checkpoint, before ending at TTSH at Moulmein Road.

The 350km charity ride which spans over two days, retraces the journey by TTSH’s founder, Mr. Tan Tock Seng, from Malacca to Singapore almost two centuries ago.
