Lotus electric car in the works
Lotus recently made a commitment to invest 60 million into developing new technology and vehicles that will offer reduced emissions.

Lotus chief executive Michael Kimberley has indicated that the company is working on an electric sports car that will be powered by a small displacement petrol engine. The motor will be used to charge the car's batteries.
Lotus is hopeful that their planned electric sports car will have a 482 kilometer range.
There is speculation that Lotus' electric vehicle may appear at the Geneva Motor Show this coming March, but the company has not confirmed this as of yet.
