Made-In-Singapore Kia EV5 Starts From S$194,000 With COE

Kia seems to be on a roll in Singapore. 1,552km on a single tank with a self-charging hybrid? The Niro Hybrid’s been there, done that. Longing for a hybrid but with more space? It’s no secret that the EV5 EV SUV will be Cat A-eligible and made in Singapore, given their announcement at Singapore Motorshow 2025. But to have the full information including variants and pricing makes it surreal.

Cycle & Carriage Kia has launched the Kia EV5 in three variants: Air, Earth and GT-Line. The Air (S$194,000) and Earth (S$210,600) models offer an affordable, Category A-friendly option for those seeking a practical mid-size SUV, while the GT-Line (S$260,000) caters to performance enthusiasts.

The Air variant has a 100kW motor and 64.2kWh battery, providing a 400km range. The mid-tier Earth uses the same motor but with a larger 88.1kWh battery, extending the range to 540km. The GT-Line features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with 230kW and 480Nm, accelerating to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and offering 470km range. Fast charging from 10 to 80% takes around 36 to 38 minutes across all models.

The Kia EV5 showcases Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, combining bold styling with refined elegance. Its striking Digital Tiger Face and Star Map LED lighting create a futuristic look, while muscular fenders, sleek D-pillars and aerodynamic features like auto-flush door handles enhance its sporty appeal.

Interior is very spacious, thanks to its 2,750mm wheelbase and class-leading 1,715mm height. The driver is supported by a Panoramic Wide Display that combines key controls into a streamlined interface. For added luxury, Earth and GT-Line variants feature a Relaxation Seat with a leg rest, lumbar support and massage function.

There’s 513 litres of boot space and a 67-litre front trunk for smaller items. Rear seats fold flat to create a 1,714-litre cargo area with a level floor. Adjustable luggage hooks help keep everything secure on the go.
