Mercedes-Benz Singapore has pulled the wraps off the all-new electric GLB, bringing a fully electric option to one of its most popular family SUVs. Designed with practicality in mind, it combines seven-seat flexibility, a more spacious cabin and the brand's latest digital technologies.

At launch, buyers can choose between the GLB 200 electric Progressive and the range-topping GLB 250+ electric AMG Line Sport. Indicative pricing starts from S$280,888 and S$310,888 respectively, subject to COE movements.

The new-generation GLB has grown in size, with a 60mm longer wheelbase helping to free up more room for passengers. Mercedes-Benz says rear occupants benefit from increased legroom, while improvements to the third-row seating and access make the seven-seat layout more usable for family duties.

Practicality remains a strong focus. The SUV gains a 127-litre front trunk, while the rear cargo area offers up to 480 litres of luggage space with all seats in place. Fold the rear seats down and capacity expands to 1,605 litres.

Powering the flagship GLB 250+ electric AMG Line Sport is a 200kW electric motor paired with an 85kWh battery, delivering up to 674km of WLTP range. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the SUV can recover up to 260km of driving range in as little as 10 minutes at DC fast chargers.

The GLB also becomes one of the first Mercedes-Benz compact SUVs to run the new MB.OS operating system. Highlights include the MBUX Superscreen, an AI-enabled virtual assistant, Google Maps-based navigation and over-the-air software updates.

To support EV ownership, the new model integrates with Mercedes-Benz's MB.CHARGE Public service, providing access to more than 7,000 charging points through a single platform and app.

Hybrid versions of the GLB are also on the way, with Mercedes-Benz confirming they will join the range later this year.
