Mercedes Electrifies The CLA Shooting Brake

Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-new CLA 200 electric Shooting Brake in Singapore, with the sleek electric estate priced at S$293,888. The price includes a three-year service package and S$1,000 worth of MB.CHARGE Public credits.

It marks the first fully electric estate from Mercedes-Benz, combining the CLA’s low-slung, coupé-inspired styling with a more practical body.

The boot offers 455 litres, expanding to 1,290 litres with the 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats down. There’s also a 101-litre frunk for charging gear and smaller items.

The new Shooting Brake is bigger than before, measuring 4,723 mm long with a 2,790 mm wheelbase. Rear-seat headroom is up by 7mm over its predecessor, while front headroom increases by 14 mm.

Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 150 hp and 335 Nm. An 800-volt architecture, two-speed gearbox and regenerative braking system help deliver up to 551 km of WLTP range.

DC charging goes up to 200 kW, with a 10 to 80 per cent charge taking 20 minutes. Mercedes also claims up to 200 km of additional range in 10 minutes under suitable conditions.

Inside, the CLA gets Mercedes’ latest MB.OS operating system and fourth-generation MBUX. Its AI-powered virtual assistant uses technology from Microsoft and Google and can handle multi-turn conversations.

An optional MBUX Superscreen adds a 10.25-inch driver display and 14-inch central screen, with another 14-inch screen available for the front passenger.

Singapore-spec cars come with AMG Line equipment as standard, alongside heated comfort seats, LED headlights, MBUX Navigation and DISTRONIC.

A 48-volt hybrid version of the CLA Shooting Brake is also due to arrive in the coming months.
