Shell and 7-Eleven today celebrated the official opening of their new
alliance site at Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 with a series of activities in support of the Asian Women's Welfare Association (AWWA) Elderly Services located nearby at Block 123. This included a charity car wash, sale of handicraft made by the elderly, and the launch of a month-long donation drive where a portion of all fuel sales at the Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 station will be donated to AWWA Elderly Services.

Furthermore, the new alliance site will also generate employment opportunities in the community with the creation of 18 new positions at the station.

With the new Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 station, customers can now enjoy Shell's quality fuels and a comprehensive range of products and services at 7-Eleven's convenient one-stop shop. Shell and 7-
Eleven have decided to further leverage the winning benefits of their partnership and new alliance site to make the difference real in the wider Ang Mo Kio community.

"We are pleased to share that this new station will serve as a platform for the Ang Mo Kio community to come together and show their support for AWWA Elderly Services. From today until 9 November this year, we commit to donating $0.03 per litre of all fuel sales at this station to AWWA," said Mr Eli Santiago, Vice President, Retail Sales and Operations, East, Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd.

Funds raised through the donation drive will be used in part to celebrate Senior Citizens' week for close to 200 elderly Singaporeans, while the rest will be channelled to support AWWA Elderly Services' initiatives, including a Community Home that offers sheltered housing, a Seniors Activity Centre that provides an environment for the elderly to develop friendship and inter-dependence, and AWWA's READYCARE Centre, which provides rehabilitation and day-care services for seniors suffering from
physical dysfunction.

The new alliance station will be Shell's first in Ang Mo Kio and the alliance's 63rd island-wide. The alliance with 7-Eleven, announced in June 2006, aimed to leverage each other's brand and strengths
while focusing on their respective core competencies. Since then, Shell and 7-Eleven have been able to further strengthen their retail businesses in Singapore through enhanced service and product offerings, as well as operational synergies.

"Shell is pleased to sponsor a year's supply of fuel for AWWA's van for the elderly. For the community, Shell and 7-Eleven have also created special offers for Ang Mo Kio residents to enjoy
good deals on 7-Eleven purchases when they fill up over the next six weeks," commented Mr Henry Chu, General Manager, Retail Sales & Operations, Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd.

"Our partnership with Shell has enabled us to continue to strengthen our presence locally through the 63 7-Eleven@Shell sites island-wide. Together with Shell, 7-Eleven is committed to serving our customers by meeting their convenience needs and enhancing drivers' refuelling experience," said Mr Victor Chia, Chief Executive Officer of 7-Eleven.
