NIO EP9 and ES8 On Display In Singapore's CBD
SGX Securities has welcomed the secondary listing of smart electric vehicle maker NIO Inc. on its Mainboard. To mark its listing, NIO Inc. has displayed two of its cars, the NIO EP9 and NIO ES8 at the SGX Centre lobby till 10 June.
Introduced in 2016, the NIO EP9 supercar was then the fastest electric vehicle. ES8, launched in December 2017, is a six- or seven-seater flagship smart electric SUV.
Specialising in research and development of core technologies, NIO has filed and obtained over 4,800 patents, and built up a full-fledged in-house R&D system encompassing electric motors, motor controls, batteries, as well as smart gateway, smart cockpit, and autonomous driving technologies.
NIO operates R&D centres and manufacturing facilities in Shanghai, Hefei, Beijing, San Jose, Munich and Oxford, and an initial sales and service network in China serving users in over 300 cities.
