Web Launch for Audi RS5 Cabrio ahead of Paris Motor Show
Instead of waiting till the Paris Motorshow next week to unveil the new RS5 Cabriolet, Audi elected to do something new—launch the car online to more than 10 thousand motoring journalists via a livestream on a website specially set up for a September 6 launch.
The online unveiling of the new 450bhp and 430Nm 4.2-litre V8 FSI RS5 Cabriolet was the first time Audi had officially unveiled online through the internet. Thousands of viewers were treated a live presentation of the RS5 Cabriolet by host Martin Haven with special appearances by Audi DTM drivers, Rahel Frey and Edoardo Mortara.
The live webcast was an ideal platform to showcase the prowess of a car engineered to provide “sporty performance whilst providing a fantastic open-top driving experience” as Edoardo Mortara shares against the roar of the RS5 Cabriolet’s V8 engine.
