Passenger Car COEs Up Slightly for May’s First COE Bidding Exercise.

COEs for May’s first Certificate of Entitlement bidding exercise ended stable. Category A COEs are stable, at just a few hundred above last month’s premium. This month saw 4,148 successful bids received during the month’s first bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 1,435 @ $38,941, up from $38,510,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,280 @ $38,501, up from $37,330,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),


Quota of 308 @ $33,190, down from $34,202,

Commercial vehicle Category C,

Quota of 560 @ $7,204, up from $7,115,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 565 @ $38,600, up from $38,389,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
