Porsche Brings Back Historic Fabrics
They are available from Porsche Centres and the Porsche Online Shop.

Porsche has revived its classic interior textiles - Pepita, Pasha, tartan and pinstripes. They have been reintroduced in fresh colour options while staying faithful to the originals. These fabrics, long tied to Porsche’s design heritage, allow owners to restore classic models accurately using guidance from the brand’s Technical Certificate.

Produced as Porsche Genuine Parts, the new materials match the brand’s high standards for touch, durability and precise pattern reproduction. Each fabric is tested for fire resistance, wear, and colour stability, ensuring it blends seamlessly with existing interior pieces - often important when only the driver’s seat needs new upholstery, as noted by Product Manager Lukas Werginz.

To recreate the textiles accurately, Porsche relied on its archives and rare surviving samples, including a perfectly preserved green-tartan 1975 911 seat discovered in the US.

Each pattern also carries a unique backstory: Pepita, introduced in the early 1960s, takes its name from 19th-century dancer Pepita de Oliva and was popularised by Christian Dior. Tartan interiors appeared on the 911 Turbo in 1974, symbolising craftsmanship and tradition.
Pasha, launched on the 928 in 1977 and inspired by racing chequered flags, became one of Porsche’s most distinctive interior styles thanks to a dynamic optical design created by Anatole Lapine’s team. The legacy continues today, with Pasha making a modern return in the 911 Spirit 70.
