Post Motorshow Cat A and Cat B COEs Mixed in January's Second Bidding Exercise

Just fresh after Motorshow... COE prices have ended up mixed. This afternoon saw 4,055 successful bids out of a total of 5,732 received during the year’s second bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 1,846 @ 50,889, up from $50,101

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,246 @ $52,807, down from $53,106

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),


Quota of 186 @ $47,001, up from $46,302

The commercial vehicle category C,


Quota of 377 @ $6,052, down from $6,053

Motorcycle category D,


Quota of 400 @ $52,600, up from $50,001

Open category E,

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB, the Internet Banking facility of UOB, or via the OCBC phone banking services.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
