September’s First Bidding Exercise… Good News Especially For Category A Car Buyers!

This month saw 4,649 successful bids received during the month’s first bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 1,820 @ $36,001, down from $42,900,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,290 @ $49,000, down from $51,000,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),

Quota of 453 @ $43,002, up from $42,004,

Commercial vehicle Category C,

Quota of 543 @ $5,402, up from $3,512,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 543 @ $48,005, down from $50,000,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
