SG: 50 Lucky Fans Invited to "Experience Forte K3" Three Weeks Prior to Launch
Fifty lucky fans of Kia Singapore Facebook fan page and Torque Facebook fan page were invited to the "Experience Forte K3" event which took place on Saturday 6 July. The fifty fans spent half a day going through three segments, Product Immersion, Handling and Urban Drive. Product Immersion involved trainers being introduced to the all-new Kia Forte K3 via a PowerPoint presentation, followed by an actual touch-and-feel of the display cars where participants were encouraged to explore and try out the different features and functions introduced during the presentation. In Handling, participants got to drive the Forte K3 and a competitor model through a slalem course, allowing them to feel how the vehicles handled differently in terms of steering feel, body roll, vehicle stability, among others. They also tried out how the Forte K3 reacted differently when the Flex Steering function was in use.
The Flex Steering button, located conveniently on the steering wheel, allows drivers to vary the steering feel by selecting Comfort, Normal, or Sport mode, with Comfort being lightest and Sport being hardest.
Finally in Urban Drive, participants got to drive the Forte K3 with two other competitor models on actual roads in Kranji. The route included both highway and small roads, giving participants a good feel of the cars’ drive, acceleration, road noise, suspension, and overall comfort. They were also reminded to use the ventilated seats (another first-in-class feature of Forte K3) to cool their seats under the hot weather.
Participant Colin Choo, 34 summed it best: “Good car! Kia has come a long way. It is a quantum leap. I will be walking away impressed.”
