SG: All cars in Category A comply with regulations

The LTA has put cars in Category A under stringent tests to ensure none of them exceed the power output as declared by their respective manufacturers. The regulation, which was put in place last November, was introduced to weed out luxury cars from Cat A COE. Each new model will be put through four dynamometer tests to ensure that they comply with the 130 bhp cap. This is the very reason why the approval process for new cars takes almost two to four months now, as compared to two to four weeks before the new ruling.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
