SG: Fire engine sinks into Vivo City’s courtyard

A Fire Engine sank into Vivo City’s courtyard on Monday evening, damaging several tiles in the process. The truck was moving off after a fire safety inspection when its rear wheels sank. The incident happened at around 6.05pm, and the area around the stranded vehicle was cordoned off at 6:45pm. A tow truck was dispatched and eventually arrived the scene at 7:20pm. The fire engine had all of its water onboard drained, and it was finally lifted out at 1:35 am. The truck then returned to the Marina Bay Fire Station at about 2am. None of the 4 onboard the vehicle was hurt in the incident. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
