SG: Man arrested for avoiding checkpoint checks

A 47-year old Singaporean man has been arrested after skipping checks at the checkpoint. He was returning to the country from Malaysia at around noon on Tuesday, where he drove past Tuas Checkpoint despite being pulled over for a check. He already cleared immigration at that point; the check was due to authorities believing that there were food products in his car that were not declared. The man apparently misunderstood the instructions and drove off, only to be arrested at Pioneer Road North. Investigations are ongoing. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
