SG: Man runs across ECP to evade cops
A man leaped over barricades and ran across the busy East Coast Parkway into the nearby Marine Parade estate in a bid to evade the police. He nearly caused a series of car accidents in doing so. One eye witness, 30 year old teacher Mr Brandon Lim, happened to be jogging in the park at the time of the incident. He aided the police in cornering the man, although that didn’t stop the suspect from escaping. The suspect, in his forties at the time of his arrest, managed to make it as far as Marine Terrace before he was caught by the cops. The incident happened at roughly 6:52pm, after he was arrested for drug-related offences along Marine Terrace. Investigations are ongoing.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.

SG: Multi car pileup injures five
8 cars were involved in a crash that hurt 5 people, one of whom was a child. The cars, heading north on the CTE after Braddell Road exit, collided, resulting in a massive crash for the 2 lanes the cars were on had to be cordoned off. The accident occured on Sunday night at about 9:20pm, with most of the wreckage cleared by 11:40pm. Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2014 Welcomes Over 100 Student Teams To Manila
Students from all across Asia and the Middle East arrived in Manila yesterday to tackle a street circuit in the heart of Manila, Philippines, with the fuel efficient vehicles they designed and built. The over 100 student teams are here to compete in the fifth edition of Shell’s annual Shell Eco-marathon Asia.
This will be the first year Shell Eco-marathon Asia takes place in Manila, having previously been held at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new urban setting is designed to test the boundaries of fuel efficiency in a real world environment. Success is not measured by speed but by who can drive farthest on a litre of fuel.
