SG: New ERP system by 2020

The current ERP system was put in place back in 1998. Many years have passed since then, and the system has started to show its age a little bit. That is precisely why the Singapore government will call for a tender to replace the aged ERP system with a more technically advanced next generation ERP, with expected completion by around 2020. Currently, the ERP gantries are pretty much fixed and not easily programmable. However, the new gantries have been designed to charge a car not by the amount of gantries it passes by, but by the number of times a car has used a certain congested stretch of road. It can also aid in navigation, help replace the current system of parking with coupons, and provide up to date traffic information. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
