SG: PIE crash injures 5

2 lorries collided on the PIE on the 27th of August at 5:20pm, resulting in injuries to 5 onboard the 2 vehicles. Upon receiving the distress call, the SCDF dispatched two fire engines, three ambulances and three support vehicles to the accident scene.  The driver for one of the lorries was stuck in the managled wreckage and had to be freed using a hydraulic spreader. He sustained serious injuries and has been brought to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was conscious. A child sustained serious injuries in the crash as well, and was conveyed to to KK Hospital. 3 other adults suffered minor injuries. There were close to 12 other vehicles on scene with varying degrees of damage, with eye witnesses claiming at least 14 vehicles were involved in the collision.
