SG: The New Volkswagen CC R-Line To Debut in Singapore

The new Volkswagen CC R-Line will make its debut in Singapore on 17 August 2013.  The CC has always set itself apart from ordinary saloon cars as the first four-door coupe in its class.  This distinction is emphasized further with a redesigned front bumper which is complete with vertical chrome bars painted in gleaming black, and a bottom radiator grille.  It also features individualized side sills, 'Mallory' 18 inch alloy wheels and a chrome element integrated in to the cover above the fog lights.  The radiator has an R-Line logo.

The interior features door tread plates with R-Line lettering and a leather sports steering wheel with multifunction controls.

Power comes from Volkswagen’s multi-award-winning 2.0 TSI engine with 210 bhp (5,300-6,200 rpm) and 280 Nm of torque (1,700-5,200 rpm). Fitted as standard with a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG), the CC R-Line sprints from 0-100 km/h in only 7.3 seconds. At the same time, its fuel consumption of 7.8 L/100km makes it one of the most economical cars at this performance level.

Befitting its status as the range-topping CC model, the car comes fully equipped with the latest features. These include 12-way adjustable ventilated front sports seats upholstered in Nappa leather, a 10-speaker Dynaudio in-car entertainment system with a total power output of 600 Watts, and Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) which continuously varies the suspension damping according to the road conditions. Also standard: Park Assist with Rear Assist rear-view camera, Easy Open sensor controlled boot opening and an electrically-operated rear sunblind.

The launch price of the CC R-Line is $197,800 with COE.
