SG: Veteran Motorbike racer killed

Singaporean veteran motorbike racer Milton Poh Kim Seng, 41, was killed when an out of control bike slammed his BMW into the pit wall at Sepang race track on Sunday. The Singapore Airlines flight steward, who had almost 9 years of racing under his belt, was involved in the fatal collision just seconds after the race was green flagged. Mr Poh and the Italian rider who lost control, 42 year old Leonardo Sacchetto, were sent to Hospital Putrajaya. Poh succumbed to massive head injuries soon after, whereas Sacchetto had to receive treatment for leg injuries. Poh’s sponsors were shocked at his death; the director of the company, Mr. Andrew Morrice, said Mr. Poh was known to be a careful rider. It was also revealed that Poh was racing his personal BMW sportsbike during the event. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
