SsangYong Musso Double Cab Pickup Launched, Priced At S$109,888 Without COE

New diesel car and taxi registrations have already been disallowed since the start of this year, but that hasn’t impacted pickup trucks. Well, that can be advantageous to the truck fraternity - while electric trucks are torque-laden and don't huff and puff under heavy acceleration, there’s no disguising their weight. SsangYong’s new Musso double cab pickup draws 202hp and 441Nm from its 2.2-litre turbodiesel. Mated to a 6-speed automatic and with help from 3 drive modes, it's on a mission to prove that old school can still thrive in the new world.

Its truck bed fits a Euro pallet, and there’s a soft-closing tailgate for safer loading. With a 920kg payload, it offers strong cargo capability. Standard safety features include Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX mounts, Hill Start Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning and reverse sensors.

Priced at S$109,888 (excluding COE), it includes a 5-year/100,000km warranty and 3-year/60,000km free servicing.

The Musso will be the last model under the SsangYong name; future vehicles are rebranded as KGM, marking a fresh chapter for the South Korean brand in Singapore. Motorway Group is currently the official KGM distributor.

The rebranding reflects a renewed global vision under new owner KG Mobility Corp, while retaining the brand’s heritage of rugged performance, Korean-built quality and a 5-year/100,000km factory-backed warranty.
