Volvo Cars Singapore is proud to announce the launch of the All-New Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept and the highly-anticipated re-opening of the All-New Volvo showroom.

VRE is a physical interpretation of Volvo’s “Designed around you” promise, and an all-rounded retail concept where customers’ needs are put in paramount focus. Cool on the outside, warm on the inside – feel relaxed and right at home every time you pop by the showroom – whether to service your Volvo or just for a coffee.

The VRE revamp is the biggest overhaul the Volvo showroom has seen, costing approximately S$4million and taking 6 months to complete. It comes at a strategic time, with a new era of Volvo piloted by the launch of the new face of Volvo – represented by the All-New Volvo XC90, Volvo S90 and soon to come Volvo V90, it is an opportune time to showcase what Scandinavian luxury is all about.

As a long term partner selling Volvo cars in Singapore for over 30 years, Wearnes believes in continual and long term investment in the brand, which will naturally lead to improved sales. “This is especially relevant in this period of growth for Volvo Sales in Singapore – we expect to break our all-time high record of 1,400 units by this year end and want to ride on the strong sales momentum for Volvo,” said Sabrina Sng, General Manager, Wearnes (Volvo).

EXTERIOR

The exterior of the All-New Volvo showroom features a sleek and minimalist frosted glass façade. White and solid during the day and translucent at night, it exudes a distinctive cool look and feel.

When night falls, the exterior glass panels are illuminated with coloured lights to mimic the Northern Lights – a natural phenomenon synonymous with Nordic countries.

Inspired by luxury boutiques, light-wood-framed shop windows flank the grand entrance, drawing attention to the cars within the showroom and making an impression on pedestrians and drivers passing by. On the 2nd floor of the building, a Jewel box display is used for the same purpose, but with better visibility thanks to the elevation.

INTERIOR

Step into the All-New Volvo showroom and immediately feel the warm and inviting interior helmed by The Street and 2 Living Rooms – at the main showroom and Service Centre.

Car display space has increased by 30% along The Street, to showcase Volvo’s wider line-up of cars.

The Living Rooms

The Living Rooms are the heart of the All-New Volvo showroom and an oasis for customers to relax and feel at home. Main seating areas have been relocated to be the centre of attention and the first thing customers see upon entering the showroom.

Iconic Designer Furniture

A mixed selection of comfortable seating areas – all furnished with an eclectic mix of iconic Scandinavian designer furniture such as Wegner Shell Chairs and Wishbone Chairs from legendary Danish design house, Carl Hansen & Son.

Café

A new café has been added to the Service Living Room to cater to the high volume of service customers. It provides an area for customers to rest and relax while waiting for their service appointments. Both Sales and Service cafes will continue to serve a gourmet selection of pastries, coffees and teas. Traditional Swedish pastries such as cinnamon rolls will also be served to celebrate “Fika” – the Swedish tradition of afternoon tea.

Children’s Playroom

An expanded and revamped children’s playroom sits in the centre of the Sales Living Room, enabling all parents to shop in peace and keep an eye on their little ones from any point of the main showroom area.

New Nursing Room for Mothers

Family is our priority and as such, we are the first showroom in Singapore to feature a dedicated room for new mothers – a private nursing room for mothers to feed and change their little ones in comfort.

The Street

The Street in VRE comprises all reception and car display areas, car studios, accessories hubs, consultation points and car delivery suites.

Car Displays

The cars are the stars on The Street. Strategic track lights illuminate cars on display while surrounding areas are dimmed to highlight curves on the cars.

My Car Studio

My Car Studio is a creative centre for customers to customize their Volvo through the Volvo Car Configurator and explore the craftsmanship and detail that goes into each Volvo. Large hanging leather samples, colour plates and inlays enable customers to better and more accurately envision their car creations.

Accessories Hub

Two Accessories Hubs are conveniently located at both the main showroom and at the Service Centre; each featuring a Hero car, and wall displays with accessories and merchandise collections.

Car Delivery Suites

Delivery of new cars will now take place in a dedicated, closed-off area. This not only ensures more privacy, but also creates a more exclusive and memorable delivery experience. Dramatic lighting within the suite helps to highlight every curve and feature of the car.

Consultation Points and Rooms

Sales Consultants now have dedicated private discussion areas for meetings with customers. Consultation rooms are also available for close-door discussions.

Amongst the many display lies the iconic Volvo P1800 – a car which first gained great fame when driven by Roger Moore in the 1960s film, The Saint. The Volvo P1800 is also living proof of the build quality of Volvo cars – Irv Gordon’s P1800 holds the world record for the most number of miles driven in a single car – a whopping 3 million miles and counting since 1966.
