The Evo X hits Japanese showrooms today. The Evo X offers the option of either a 5-speed manual or the new Twin Clutch SST.

The 10th generation Evo has a longer and wider wheelbase than its predecessor while the front overhang has decreased by 20mm enhancing the car's stability. The Evo uses aluminum extensively to keep the weight to a minimum. Aluminum is utilized for the roof panel, front and rear fenders and engine. The 4B11 engine weighs 12kg less than the previous 4G63 and produces more torque (422 Nm) while putting 280 hp to the road.

Cornering ability is also improved with the use of the S-AWC vehicle dynamics control system. The system intelligently manages several component systems (ASC, ACD, AYC, Sports ABS) to regulate drive torque and braking force at each wheel, reading and reflecting driver intent in real time over a wide range of situations. This allows drivers of all abilities to enjoy sporty driving with peace of mind.
