The First COE Bidding Exercise of 2018 Sees Mixed Results, Category B Even More Favourable

This month saw 4,359 successful bids received during the month’s first bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Good news for those who are purchasing Category B cars, as the premium takes another dip.

Quota of 1,693 @ $41,400, up from $38,200,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,374 @ $45,289, down from $47,002,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),

Quota of 249 @ $40,101, down from $45,112,

Commercial vehicle Category C,

Quota of 525 @ $7,701, up from $7,501,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 518 @ $47,390, down from $48,011,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
