This Is Sime Darby Motors’ New Flagship Building In Singapore

Sime Darby Motors (SDM), operating under the legacy brand Sime Darby Berhad, has bolstered its presence in Singapore with the launch of a flagship building in Ubi. The newly unveiled four-storey building represents a breakthrough in customer experience, integrating innovation and digitalisation to elevate pre-owned car purchases.

What’s on display?

The first floor includes showrooms for Sime Darby Auto Selection (SDAS) and Performance Premium Selection Limited (PPSL), as well as a dedicated lounge and a display of BMW Motorrad bikes. The second floor houses one of Singapore's largest pre-owned car dealerships with over 60 cars. SDAS on this floor offers additional amenities such as a private delivery suite, a 360-degree car photo studio and a quality control and polishing area to ensure thorough checks before delivery. The floor above houses workshops for servicing and repairs of cars and bikes.

Emphasis on digitisation

It is implementing a digitalisation strategy to offer customers a seamless omnichannel experience by 2024. This will include easy online purchasing, loan applications and the option to select preferred delivery dates. Beyond the retail services, the building also houses a centralised quotation team for those interested in selling their cars. Using innovative valuation processes and technology, this team ensures sellers receive instant and fair market quotes for their vehicles in just one visit.

How are each pre-owned BMW vehicle certified?

PPSL, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Motors, operates as the authorised Certified Pre-owned BMW dealership under the BMW Premium Selection (BPS) program. It offers an extensive range of Certified pre-owned BMWs and pre-owned BMWs.

To achieve BPS certification, pre-owned BMWs undergo rigorous 360-degree inspections and come with a 12-month BMW warranty. Only vehicles meeting criteria such as being below five years of age and having mileage under 120,000km are made available for sale.

All vehicles at Sime Darby Auto Selection (SDAS) undergo a thorough pre-sale inspection to meet strict criteria for safety and quality. The platform also offers on-site trade-in valuations and direct selling services, with additional support from SDM's workshops located on the third level of their new flagship building.

The Ubi flagship building is also the exclusive home for BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle brand of BMW. The showroom can exhibit up to 18 BMW Motorrad bikes with dedicated sections for heritage showcases, aftersales service receptions and a parts counter featuring an accessories display.
