Toyota still on course to become world's largest car manufacturer
Despite global economic conditions, Toyota will surpass GM as the world's largest automaker.

And in the U.S., Toyota is the carmaker most likely to emerge as the best selling domestic brand, surpassing both Ford and Chevrolet.
But all is not well. Toyota has also recently announced their first operating loss (US$ 1.2B) in around 70 years.
Japanese newspaper [I]Chubu Kezai Shimbun[/I] reported that Toyota was planning a 34 percent output cut for this month, and a higher 39 percent cut in February.
