The Civic Type R features a number of external enhancements including 19 inch alloy wheels, clear tail-lights and a wing spoiler finished off with a championship white racing livery. The car will make its appearance to the public during the start of the Tokyo Auto Salon.

To ensure that the car be as light as possible, the interior sports lightweight Recaro bucket seats with carbon fibre sports steering wheel, handbrake and centre dash and door panels.

There is no official word on whether the concept with make it to production but if it does, rest assured the rear will polarize opinions.
