UK: Aston's Design Prototype 100 to be unveiled at Goodwood

Sony’s Gran Turismo franchise will be turning 15 very soon! To celebrate their 15th birthday, car manufacturers have pulled together to make a variety of special “virtual-only cars”, the most famous of which are the Mercedes Vision GT Concept, and Red Bull’s X2010. Aston Martin is the next automaker to join the list, and they will reveal their take of a GT6 concept car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Dubbed the Design Prototype 100, it has been fully designed in-house under the guidance of Aston’s chief designer Marek Reichman. The car is to remain a “virtual-only GT racer”. Very few details of the radical concept are available at the moment, although, from the shots Aston has released, the car will be mid engine, and we could spy what appears to be a bulging front wheel arch and a narrow LED headlight.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
