US: New Mustang sells best in red and black

Ford has officially sold the Mustang outside of its native USA for the first time, and the American automaker has recently revealed the top colour choices of their popular pony car. In the States, the bulk of the Mustangs sold are black. In Europe, most of the cars ordered are Red and Absolute Black, whilst in China, up to 35% of customers have specced their cars in Race Red. The all-new 2015 Mustang has proven to be a huge success; roughly 1.1 million Mustangs have been configured online by pony car enthusiasts across Europe, and close to 20,000 consumers in China took the Mustang for a test drive. This could be partly down to the fact that Ford has made the Mustang in RHD for the first time. In its homeland, sales of the Mustang have gone up 32% in February, making it easily the best-selling sports car in America.
